Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) and trek preparation
Our airport representative receives you at the airport and transfers you to the hotel. A briefing session is arranged for later in the evening. Your trek leader helps you with any final preparations for the trek. Since we have an early start tomorrow, we get some rest. Overnight at your hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2860m / 9383ft) ~30 min; Trek to Phakding (2610m / 8563ft)
Total duration: 3 to 4 hours

You will be escorted to the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan Airport by our staff early in the morning to board the flight to Lukla. After a 30-35 minutes flight, you will land to Tenzing- Hillary Airport, Lukla from where your trek begins. You can enjoy the majestic view on your way to Lukla from Kathmandu if the weather is clear. There will be a short briefing session regarding the trekking and you will also be introduced to the other trekkers during your breakfast. You will get some time to go see the village and local people while porters sort out and load the trekking equipments. This walk is considered to be a short hike that will help you to acclimatize. After almost four hours of walk, you will reach Phakding. There are many beautiful monasteries to visit, beautiful Lukla village and a breathtaking terrain to view. There are many resting places and lodges in Phakding and you will be staying in one of these lodges tonight.
Day 03: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft)

Today, our trek continues along the trail of Dudhkoshi River after breakfast in Phakding. We begin with an uphill walk crossing the suspension bridge with prayer flags that lead to Monju, the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. There are many teahouses, and shops on the way to Monju from Phakding for light refreshment. After clearing the entrance formalities to enter the National Park, we will walk down the steeped trail to Dudhkoshi River. After crossing another interesting suspension bridge, the uphill trail will lead you to Namche Bazaar-Gateway to Mt. Everest. We can find many good restaurants, hotels, lodges shops, money exchange, bakeries and teahouses as Namche is the biggest village along the whole Everest trail. Major attractions of this day are an amazing view of Mt. Kusum, Lhotse, Nuptse and the first Glimpse of Mt. Everest. We will stay in a guesthouse tonight.
Day 04: Namche Bazaar- a day for acclimatization

The entire day will be spent in Namche so as to adjust with the thin air and the environment. Namche is an important acclimatizing spot. It is always advisable to remain active instead of sitting ideal during the day. Today, we will go for a short trek to Thame, an old Sherpa village, to celebrate and watch Sherpa Tradition or we can visit the peripheral villages offering us a lot more to see and cherish. We can also visit the National Parks headquarter, monasteries or the museum. Evening time can be spent by roaming around the market areas. This night will also be spent in a lodge in Namche Bazaar.
Day 05: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Phortse Thanga (3680m/12073 ft)

Today we will trek uphill and above 4000m to reach the top from where we can see Mt. Everest and Lhotse. After continuous walk following the trail passing through the villages, the traders are seen selling Tibetan handicrafts. The trail above Dudhkoshi river branches, one of which leads to Everest base Camp. We will follow the other trail that ascends to Mon La Pass and then to Phortse. Phortse is a beautiful village where we can see the preserved culture of Sherpa in a local monastery, local powerhouse or even trek to Luri Peak. We will stay overnight at Phortse.
Day 06: Trek Phortse Thanga to Machhermo (4470m / 14665ft)

Today our hike will follow a steeper ascend passing through the forest and beautiful settlement of Tonga and Gyele to reach Dole. From here we can view Khumbila and Tawoche. As we make the gradual uphill climb alongside the valley, the lush alpine forest is replaced with temperate forest. We pass through numerous pasture lands throughout the trail. Peaks like Choyu, Kantega, and Thamserku are clearly visible from this point. Upon arrival at Machhermo, we explore the place before calling it a night.
Day 07: Trek Machhermo to Gokyo (4,790m/15,715 ft)
Total duration: 5 to 6 hours

Right after the breakfast, today we climb over the ridge to see the majestic view of Khantega Gorge along with the closest view of Mt. Cho Oyu right in front of us. From here our hike continuous along the edge until we reach Pangram and now the trail will descend to the riverbank. We will reach the Ngozumpa glacier after a gradual uphill climb. It is a vertical scale on the moraine. The path takes a steeper incline as it follows the valley past the second lake. After few hours of walk, we reach Gokyo village where we will stay overnight.
Day 08: A day exploring Gokyo Valley (4,750 m/15,580 ft)

Today is an important day of Gokyo valley trek. We can circumscribe the Gokyo Lake or explore up to the fifth lake. The remaining time may be spent relaxing at our cosy lodge in Gokyo. We have dinner and end the day with rest.
Day 9: Early morning hike to Gokyo Ri (5360m /17585ft) and trek to Dragnag (4,690m/15,387ft)

We will start a little early today to climb Gokyo RI (5,463m). This is the point that offers an alluring view of Mt. Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, and Mt. Makalu. Then our trek will continue towards Tragnag which is a very beautiful highland Sherpa hamlet that is situated at the base of Cho La pass. We will stay at Tragnag tonight.
Day 10: Trek Dragnag to Dzongla (4830m / 15846ft) via Cho La Pass (5420m / 17782ft)
Total duration: 7 to 8 hours

We will trek to Cho La Pass which is attainable but a much steeper one. We will see the glacier on the eastern side. After reaching Cho La Pass we will walk on the other side of the pass along a steeper trail to reach Dragnag village. Our trek will continue to the top where few small frozen lakes can be seen. After a short downhill trek followed by a steep downhill walk crossing rocky stones will lead us to Dzongla. We will stay at Dzongla.
Day 11: Trek Dzongla to Lobuche (4910m / 16109ft)
Total duration: 2 to 3 hours

We have a short trek day after a tough day yesterday. We leave behind the view of Cholatse and follow the gradually descending trail ahead leading to arriving at Dughla. Onward, the trail takes a gradual ascent and the view of Nuptse becomes apparent. We stop for the night at Lobuche.
Day 12: Trek Lobuche to Gorakshep (5180m / 16995ft), then EBC (5364m / 17598ft) and back to Gorakshep
Total duration: 6 to 7 hours

The trek today is a steady climb over the Khumbu glacier and the moraines. Loose rocks and sandy terrain mark the trail. We first reach Gorakshep about three hours later. After having lunch there the uphill climb for Everest Base Camp begins. Pumori, Lingtren and Nuptse can be viewed from here. After walking for sometime over the rocky trail, Everest appears briefly. On reaching the base camp (5,357m/17,575ft), you can witness the Nuptse, Lingtren, Tsangtse, the Khumbu glacier and a splendid view of the Khumbu Valley. We make a return to Gorakshep for dinner and rest.
Day 13: Hike to Kalapattar (5550m / 18209ft) and trek back to Pheriche (4240m / 13911ft)

We have an early start to accommodate a long day. We begin with a hike to Kalapatthar at dawn. The sunrise view over Everest and Nuptse as Pumori, Lingtren and other peaks stand tall and within easy reach is dumbfounding. The enthralling view of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kusum Khanguru, Lobuche, Khantega and other peaks further south and the peaks Changri, Chumbu and the lakes below to the north-west comprise an all-out view creating a lifetime memory. We may spend some time here before descending back to Gorakshep. The return trek continues onward to Lobuche, Dughla ending at Pheriche for the day.
Day 14: Trek Pheriche to Namche (3440m / 11286ft)
Total duration: 6 to 7 hours

We start with a short uphill and a gradual descent to Pangboche. Leaving behind the trails and crossing the river over Imja Khola we reach Tengboche enjoying the panorama of the mountains. Few hours of descent from here takes us to Phunke Tenga. From here, the trail takes a steep and then a steady climb through the villages like Tashinga, Sansa, and Kyangjuma. We reach Namche in the afternoon. Dinner and rest at Namche.
Day 15: Trek to Lukla (2840m / 9318ft)
Total duration: 6 to 7 hours

Today is the final day of this trek. After breakfast, we drop down the trail towards the Hillary bridge. The trail then climbs to Monjo as we retrace our path to Phakding and all the way to Lukla. An amazing journey has come to an end, worthy of a celebration with the team. Overnight at Lukla.
Day 16: Fly to Kathmandu (1350m / 4429ft)
Total duration: ~30 min

The flight to and from Lukla are normally scheduled during the early morning as the weather might go unpredictably adverse during the later hours. After your breakfast, we head to the airport and your luggage will be taken care of by the local porters. The flight duration is roughly 30 minutes. You escorted back to the hotel and the remaining day can be spent relaxing at the hotel. A trip to a spa in the afternoon would be a good idea.
Day 17: Kathmandu Valley heritage sightseeing tour; Farewell dinner

We have a heritage sightseeing tour in the morning. We visit four UNESCO World Heritage sites of Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Baudhanath and Pashupatinath.
In the evening, we have a farewell dinner with the team.
Day 18: Final departure from Kathmandu
