Lobuche is among the tallest peaks that lie near to the Khumbu Glacier. Climbing this glacier peak is tough yet rewarding once you reach the top. Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, our airport representative will receive and transfer you to the respective hotel in a private vehicle comfortably. Your prior trip meeting will be scheduled on the very day at the hotel before dinner. However our airport representative will give you a brief idea about the second day’s schedule on your way to the hotel. During the meeting we will introduce you to your leader/guide. You will have to make payment if any. Please do not hesitate to ask questions about your trek or anything that is related to your trip. To make you feel comfortable, we host a welcome dinner for you in a popular restaurant in the city where you can enjoy authentic Nepali meal along with cultural programs including ethnic dance and songs. You will be spending this night in the hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Valley sightseeing and trek preparation (1,300m/4,264ft)

After the breakfast, you will be visiting the different places in Kathmandu. There are many historic and cultural places that are of great significance in Kathmandu. You will get to see the major attractions of the city along with our professional guide and a private vehicle. The following are the major places that you will visit:
You will be visiting either Kathmandu Durbar Square or Patan Durbar Square, which has been listed in the UNESCO’s World Heritage Site. You, can enjoy the age-old cultural heritage of the city. Boudhanath and Swayambhunath a sacred pilgrimage of the Buddhist and Pashupatinath the very famous Hindu temple e are the attraction of today’s sightseeing program. After sightseeing, you will be meeting us at our office for a prior trek meeting. You can go for shopping in the evening at Thamel which is famous for useful tourist’s products. We will stay overnight in Kathmandu
Day 03: Kathmandu-Lukla-Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft) (30-35 minute flight)

We will drive you to the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan Airport in the morning to board the flight to Lukla. After 30-35 minutes of flight you will land to Tenzing- Hillary Airport, Lukla from where your destination begins. In a clear weather condition you can enjoy the majestic panorama of different mountains on your way to Lukla from Kathmandu. You will be briefed by our guide regarding the trekking to Phakding. You will have the breakfast here along with other trekkers and will get some extra time to drool around the village and get acclimatize while the porters sort out and load the trekking equipments. A walk of four hours will help you reach Phakding. On your way, you will see herd of yaks, Black Mani walls engraved with prayers in white, beautiful monasteries breathe taking view of Lukla village. There are many resting places and tea houses in Phakding and you will be staying in one of these lodges tonight.
Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft)

Our journey will begin today shortly after the breakfast along the forested trail of Dudhkoshi river. This uphill trail crosses the suspension bridge with prayer flags and will lead us to Monju, the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. There are ample number of teahouses, and resting places for refreshment. After clearing the entrance formalities to enter the National Park, the steep stony trail downward will lead to another amazing suspension bridge across the Dudhkoshi River. An hour of uphill walk through the pine forest from here will lead us to Namche Bazaar-Gateway to Mt. Everest. We will find many good restaurants, hotels, tea houses lodges shops, money exchange, bakeries and teahouses as Namche is the biggest village along the whole Everest trail. Major attractions of this day are view of Mt. Kusum, Lhotse, Nuptse and a first Glimpse of Mt. Everest. You will stay in a guesthouse tonight.
Day 05: Namche Bazaar- a day for acclimatization

The entire day will be spent in Namche for us to adjust with the air and the environment. Namche is an important acclimatizing spot.It is always wise to be active instead of sitting ideal during the day. We will be going for a short trek to Thame, an old Sherpa village to celebrate and watce Sherpa Tradition or we can visit the peripheral villages offering a lot more to see and cherish. We will have time to visit the National Parks headquarter, monasteries or the museum. We can get glimpses of the beautiful panorama of different peaks Thamserku, Kusum Kangru, Kantega, Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam among others from the site. This night will also be spent in a lodge in Namche Bazaar.
Day 06: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,867m/12,684ft)

After breakfast, the trek for today will start. Today we will follow the trails long the glacial water of Dudhkoshi up till the altitude of 3867m. We can enjoy the phenomenal view of the Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam during this walk. Enthralling Thamserku exist in a close vicinity of the trail along with the lush of the temperate vegetation including Rhododendron, Oak, Juniper etc. You can also get a glance of wild fauna like himalayan thar, musk deer, snow leopard and different varieties of birds of this region .After reaching Tengboche; we will see the famous Tengboche Monastery decorated with beautiful Sherpa art and beautiful wall hanging. You will spend this night in Tengboche.
Day 07: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,358m/14,295ft)

As usual, our journey begins after breakfast at Tengboche. Today’s trek begins with a short hike down followed by an uphill climb to Pangboche (3,860m/12,664ft) crossing the river through a suspension bridge. We will be accompanied by a prepossessing view of the green vegetation. The beautiful view of the small villages and the chortens are very soothing. Majestic view Mt. Ama Dablam and other peaks like Island Peak, Lhotse awaits you here. After a few hours of uphill walk we will finally reach to Dingboche (4,358m/14,295ft). You will spend this night in Dingboche.
Day 08: 2nd Acclimatization Day of the trek - Dingboche (4,360m/14,300ft)

Today is the second acclimatization day of this trek. After having breakfast we will go for a short trek to Chuklung valley and Imja Khola valley where we can enjoy the phenomenal view of Mt. Ama Dablam, Nuptse and Lothse, Makalu Barun National Park many others. We can also see the beautiful fields and pastures of Dingboche from this point. You can hike up to Nagarshang hill which is 300m higher than Dingboche. After returning to Dingboche, we will spend the night in the guest house.
Day 09: Dingboche to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft)

After breakfast, today we will have to walk uphill. From today onwards the walk will be tough because of the increasing altitude. It is suggested to walk in a steady pace. The trails are leveled and easy. On the way we will see porters and herds of yaks carrying a lot of stuffs. Beautiful pasture lands can also be seen on the way to Lobuche. After walking for some time we will reach the Dugla Pass where the beautiful view of Mt. Nuptse, Cholatse, Thamserku, Pumori and several other magnificent peaks awaits us. We also will pass by some stone memorials of Sherpas climbers who perished on the Glacier of different peaks nearby. We will get a chance to see other peaks like Mahalangur Himal, Khumbutse, and Lingtren from this point. After a gentle climb from Khumbu valley we will reach to Lobuche. We might find some breathing difficulties due to the altitude. We will spend the night in Lobuche.
Day 10: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170 m/16,961ft), visit Everest Base Camp (5,364 m/17,594 ft):

Today, the trek is going to be a bit difficult one as we will be trekking along the Khumbu Glacier to reach the Everest Base Camp. We will first trek to Gorak Shep and after having lunch there the uphill walk for Everest base camp begins which is the point from where you can see Mt. Everest at close proximity without any mountaineering equipments. After walking through the rocky trail we will reach the Everest Base Camp (5,357m/17,575ft). The splendid view of Khumbu valley is seen from this point. We will return to Gorak Shep for dinner and overnight stay
Day 11: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5545m/18,192ft] and back to Lobuche (4940m/16,207ft): 7-8 hours

We will have to start our trek early today because this is the most tedious day of the entire trip. So we have to start journey by climbing up to reach Kala Patthar (Black Rock at 5,545m/18,192ft.), that offers the best views of Mt. Everest. This is a very challenging ascent yet a very rewarding one as we will get to see the enthralling view of the Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori and Ama Dablam. We will spend some time here taking photographs before descending down to Gorak Shep and then trek down to Lobuche. We will stay at Lobuche tonight.
Day 12: Lobuche to High Camp (5,400m/17,712ft): 3-4 hours
Total duration: 7-8 hours

Today we will head towards Lobuche base camp first and then to the high camp. The path is flat and easy at the beginning but after sometime it gets tough and steep. We will walk along the Lobuche Glacier enjoying the amazing view of Cholatse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kantega and many more. Upon reaching the base camp we take rest for some time. From here we will move on the rocky moraine to reach the Lobuche High Camp. We will have our lunch and then take rest after setting up the camp. Our guides will provide peak climbing training during the afternoon. This training includes the proper ways to use ropes, harness, climbing boots, crampons and ascenders. This training will help to boost up the confidence. We can spend our evening by viewing the amazing Everest, Makalu, and Nuptse, South face of Lhotse, Chamlang and Baruntse. We will stay overnight at Lobuche East High Camp.
Day 13: Lobuche High Camp to Summit (6119m/20,070 ft) and back to High Camp: 8-10 hours
Total duration: 8-10 hours

Today is the day. We will start at around 2 am in the morning. The weather is chilling cold in the beginning but it gets a bit warmer as we reach the glacier and on to the ridge. We will see the amazing view of the sun hitting the tip of the peak making it look red. We will first walk on the rocky trail up till 5700m and then the trails are covered with heavy ice. The trails get difficult and the air gets thinner making it difficult to walk. The climbing surface as well as the length of the rope and depends on the time of the season and the crevasses. The slope steepens for a section behind the ridge and the summit comes back into view. From the summit, Himalayas including Mt. Everest, Cho-You, Lhotse, Cholatse, Ama Dablam, Pumori, Nuptse and others are clearly visible. After spending some time here, we will retrace our steps back to the high for stay overnight.
Day 14: Contingency/reserve day

It is always a wise idea to set an extra day in case of peak climbing as the weather at this altitude is very unpredictable. It might not go as we plan. So today is set aside as contingency day just in case we are unable to climb the Mera Peak on the planned day or for any other unforeseen reasons. We can skip this day if we happen to climb the peak on the scheduled day.
Day 15: Lobuche High Camp to Pangboche (3930m /12900 ft)
Total duration: 8-9 hours

The destination for today is set for Pangboche so we will first walk downhill to Lobuche base camp and to the Everest Base camp trail at Lobuche. From Lobuche we will walk down to Periche enjoying the amazing view of Ama Dablam. We will continue to walk downhill through the oak and rhodondrone forest until we reach Pangboche. If time permits we, can visit Pangboche Monastery in the evening. We will stay overnight at Pangboche.
Day 16: Pangboche to Namche Bazaar
Total duration: 4-5 hours

We will descend to Namche from Pangboche. We will first descend to Imja Khola and crossing the river we will walk uphill till Tengboche. We will have our lunch at Tengboche. After Lunch we will walk on the trails that go through dense rhododendron and Juniper forest. Walking for some hours we will reach the point where we will have to cross the Dudhkoshi River. Following the trails that go through the deep gorges of Dudhkoshi River we will finally reach Namche for overnight stay.
Day 17: Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Total duration: 7-8 hours walk

Today is the final day of this trek, so shortly after the breakfast we will head towards Lukla from where our trek began. The trail drops down to Dudhkoshi and then we reach Monjo. We will have our lunch at Phakding and then continue to trek till we reach Lukla. You can spend your time with your team members roaming around market or can have some quality time with yourself enjoying your achievement that you made during past few days. You will spend this night at Lukla.
Day 18: Fly back to Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

Flight to and from Lukla are normally during the early hours as the weather might go unpredictably adverse during the later hours. After your breakfast, you will be taken to the airport by our guide and you luggage will be taken care of by the porters and local Sherpas. You will reach to Kathmandu after a 30 min of flying. You will be escorted to the respective hotel by our staff from the airport. You will have time to rest. Since today is your last day in Kathmandu, we host a farewell dinner where you can give your feedback regarding the services that we provided during the entire trip. We will stay at Kathmandu tonight.
Day 19: Farewell Day

This is the last day of your trip with us. You can extend you trip for one or two days to visit other interesting places in and out of Kathmandu which is completely optional. If not then one of our staff will escort you to the airport as per your scheduled departure. You can roam around the city and buy souvenirs’ and do shopping to take along with you if your flight is scheduled during late hours.
We have prepared the trip departure dates in small groups departure for group fun and enjoyment trekking. Our group size start from 2 peoples (Even for solo travelers, we organize single trip on supplement cost of US$- 200 additional) and maximum group size will be 8-10 travelers. But in general, our every date will have small groups of 4- 6 peoples, which is good group size for safe and flexible & comfortable trekking.
